The Government of Andalusia has passed a new law stating that masks must be used practically at all the time. The masks will be compulsory in Andalusia in closed and open spaces, whether or not the safety distance is met from July 15 2020. Until now they were mandatory in open and closed spaces provided that the safety distance between people of one and a half meters could not be guaranteed.
As for wearing masks on public transport nothing has changed, you still have to wear a mask. This also applies to vehicles with up to 9 seats when the passengers do not live together. The mask will not be required when members of the same family who live together travel in a car.
Its use will also be compulsory in the common areas of work centers and offices where a large volume of people gather, regardless of whether the safety distance can be maintained.
You can be fined 100 euros if you don’t wear your mask.
Exceptions: We have to wear a mask in any circumstance, including on the beach and at the swimming pool, but they will not be necessary when you are swimming or staying under the umbrella, or lying in the sun as long as the safety distance between users can be adhered to, but yes you will have to wear the mask when you are walking about.
In the case of exercising individual sport outdoors, its use will not be required, neither in cases of force majeure or need or when, due to the nature of the activities, the use of the mask is incompatible.
Neither will they be required for people who present some type of respiratory illness or difficulty that may be aggravated by the use of it, nor for those people who due to their situation of disability or dependency do not have autonomy to remove it, or who present behavioral changes that make their use unfeasible.
In bars and terraces, in family gatherings where people live under the same roof that are held inside the premises and on the family terrace, it is not necessary, but the use of the mask will be recommended in meetings that are not within the family group and if you are not eating.
As for funerals, the capacity will be reduced from 60 people to 25 outdoors and from 30 to 10 indoors.
I have a holiday apartment below my main house. Guests are given use of the private pool and pool terrace during their stay. Do they have to wear masks when using this area? We have decided that while there are guests we will not use these areas.
Hi Jaqueline, as it is a private pool you do not need to use the mask, but you ahould do it if you would use ith with your guest at the same time, that it is not the case. Regards
I have a medical letter from my Doctor in Ireland. I had a run in with police today. They said I needed to have ID. My ID was in my house. I didn’t know I needed my ID with me. They got quite anymore about it. What are my rights? I have a medical condition.
